Bonsai the relaxing art and science of growing miniature trees and shrubs. These may
appear difficult, but in reality are just an extension of everyday gardening. The
Chinese translation of bon–sai is literally potted tree. They provide an overwhelming
aesthetic quality and a feeling of tranquillity, which is rare in todays world.
It is an art practiced for hundreds of years by the Chinese (Pen – Jing) and
Japanese (Sai – Ki)
